Vertical Extension: Kommetjie, Cape Town

This vertical extension added 140 sq m, the whole house gaining an extra floor. The owner, a marine surveyor, researched and planned every angle meticulously and it was an absolute pleasure for the Lofts team to work with such a professional.

What is perhaps a testimony to the care that the Lofts team take when working in a client’s home is that the family occupied the home while we installed the loft.

The views and quality of accommodation were of utmost importance but one also needs to consider the investment value – in this instance, the owner calculated that the loft had doubled the value of their home.

The project took 3 months to complete.
